Norfolk’s Heritage Railways Volume Two features three chapters filmed at the North Norfolk and Mid-Norfolk Railways.
Both steam and diesel hauled services are featured
Summer Steam 30 Minutes approximately
The Mid-Norfolk Railway’s popular summer steam services have seen successive visits to the line by Dennis Howells’ GWR Pannier Tank 9466.
The immaculately kept 0-6-0 can be seen working services over the 11½ mile line between Dereham and Wymondham Abbey during the summer of 2009.
Mixed Traffic 15 Minutes approximately
The North Norfolk Railway held its Mixed Traffic Gala on the 5th and 6th June 2010. Black 5, 44767 George Stephenson arrived at the railway for her summer stay-over a week earlier and joined the mix of resident steam and diesel locomotives. The National Railway Museum's LEV1 (Leyland Experimental Vehicle) is seen in service, as too is the railway’s Class 101 DMU, making its début in original green livery.
Grand Steam Gala 17 Minutes approximately
In September 2010, the North Norfolk Railway was host to no less seven steam locomotive types for their annual Autumn Gala. BR and all of the Big Four were represented, and even the industrial workhorse. With an intensive program of passenger and goods trains, the scene was set for a spectacular event – arguably the best to date!
Edited without commentary for your enjoyment.
