On the 10th August 2005
My wife Jools and I took a trip on the Legendry Flying Scotsman from York to Scarborough.
Below are a selection of pictures taken during the trip.

York
Why is that Diesel ticking over?...... Please don't let it Be the Diesel.

Panic over, Here she comes.

Scarborough

As You would expect, it was very busy when we arrived at Scarborough. but I eventually managed to find a quiet spot to take some pictures
while my good lady wife was seeking autographs from driver Albert J Seymour (and on our return) Peter Walker.

Miscellaneous pictures

I must say we both had a most enjoyable day "Riding the Legend" between York and Scarborough behind 4472 'Flying Scotsman'.
We opted for the full day trip, leaving York at 12:05 on the "Scarborough Spa Express" and returned on the "Sundowner Special"
which arrived back in York as darkness began to fall.
