Doesn't seem 12 months ago since we came to the last MNR diesel gala but here we are again.
After a week of feeling rather poorly, I felt maybe some fresh air might be good for me. So braving the strong winds and heavy showers, Ben and I set off to the MNR to see what was happening. We arrived at Dereham just in time to see the 11am service to Wymondham pull out. The train was double headed by visiting Freightliner's 47 847 "Railway World Magazine / Brian Morrison" and the MNR's D8069 with 31 235 bringing up the rear. Also visiting was Cotswold Rail's 47 316 "Cam Peak"
other MNR locos in service was 50 019 "Ramillies" & The resident Metro-Cammell three-car 101 set

On our way home we called in at County School Station. Since our last visit the old DMU has moved a little closer to the crossing gates, looking as if she's waiting for her turn .... but I don't think she'll be going anywhere.. not just yet!

Sunny afternoon at County School
